This week we first looked at time and frame-based animation. I understood this part really well and am could quite confidently explain them and their strengths/ weaknesses. I then had to try and explain how I would use time based animation to create a moving disk in Java Script. I am still not confident using Java Script as it is very new to me but I did try and explain how I think that time based animation would be used to animate the disk.

Task 2 involved selecting easing functions and expressing the equation in java script. I struggled to type the code and create it myself so I had to look online for examples. I then looked at the examples and tried to understand what the code was actually doing. I did understand what was happening but I am still not confident in actually creating the code myself. I then had to create 3 line graphs based off of linear equations and I created an exponential easing in graph, an exponential easing out graph and I used a sine graph. I was also going to add a logarithmic graph but I might add it in my spare time. I am pretty confident on the types of graphs and how to identify them, like an exponential has a steep incline. However I still don’t think I understand them and other elements like Lerps completely so I will go over them in my own time before the next lecture to try and understand them further. The final thing I did with task 2 was to create the mathematical equations which I did not get time to do so I will have to attempt it in my free time at home.

As a whole there are quite a few things I am uncertain about which I will need to revisit in my spare time. I am also still unsure how to use Java Script properly which I will also do in my spare time.
